NC Architecture was commissioned for a regeneration project to transform the vacant car park to a desirable family living environment, by creating a mix of residential units comprising 101 two and three bedroom apartments and 17 three and four bedroom town houses. The site is highly sustainable and within a few minutes’ drive to both Bolton Town Centre and the Motorway network, connecting it to Manchester and other surrounding cities. The site overlooks River Croal.

The apartment block has been designed to create a well-balanced frontage overlooking the River Croal and adopts a configuration that responds to the site rising from a five storey river frontage to a six storey courtyard layout facing the site.

All town houses are fronting Chorley Street, giving the site a family-orientated feeling. The town houses offer private front gardens and two car rear driveways.

The private front garden concept has also been offered to all the ground floor apartments, with access to the adjacent Queens Park being afforded to benefit all the residents, adding to the space and amenity.
